Up for sale is a beautifully and meticulously restored Millers Falls No. 980 Two-Speed Hand Drill made between 1925 and 1931.   This classic American tool has been completely stripped down, thoroughly cleaned, refurbished, and reassembled to look and function as if it just rolled off the factory floor. It comes 100% complete with all original parts, including the frequently missing side handle.    The drill was entirely disassembled down to every individual screw, gear and pin.   Every component has been evaluated, cleaned and properly lubricated.   The two-speed knurled ring shifter shifts between speeds smoothly and flawlessly.   All original metal parts and the malleable iron frame were fully stripped, cleaned and repainted using authentic colors.   The original hardwood main handle, head and side handle were gently cleaned, sanded smooth and finished with multiple coats of shellac.   The drill spins incredibly smoothly with excellent gear alignment to include no missing or chipped teeth.   The 0 to 3/8 inch capacity chuck opens and closes tightly with snug spindles.   This is an exceptional example of early 20th-century American tool engineering, brought back to peak life.   Please review the pictures carefully, they provide a better description of the condition of the drill.   Condition: Used.
