Embossed classical relief work, stylized face Neo-classical late 19th century weathered patina. 2.5 lb each measuring 6"x6". Spectacular true matching pair of heavy antique Gothic/Baroque Revival candlesticks. Incredible casting details, stylized mythological face masks around cups, tied architectural bases and stylized griffin/avian figures flanking feet.  Solid bronze/ brass ? with dark moody antique patina. Looking underneath in the hollow base reveals the beautiful golden yellow brass color where the metal remains unoxidized. 2 piece sand castings held together by the internal central rod, a construction technique highly characteristic of the late Victorian thru Art Deco eras (circa 1880-1930s). No marks, no stamps.  Pristine, completely untouched estate condition.  I have not attempted to polish or clean to preserve the highly desirable original aged patina.
