I am not an expert but believe that this is an example of the "Famille Rose" style, and was inspired by motifs from the Qing dynasty. This label suggests that this plate was made for the Western export market, probably in the 20th century. Up for sale is a very beautiful vintage decorative plate from China.  I am not an expert but believe that this is an example of the "Famille Rose" style, and was inspired by motifs from the Qing dynasty. The plate measures about 10.5 inches in diameter and is round.  In the center is a household scene with six characters.  Around the top rim is a repeating pattern of four very elaborate floral designs.  All of the designs have areas of raised enamel embossing. The markings on the back on shown in photos # 5 through 8.  In the very center are the Chinese characters that, I believe, symbolize the Qing Dynasty.  Off to the side appears to be the numbers "63".  Also on the back is a paper sticker, in English, which is a little difficult to read due to wear.  I think it says: FOR DECORATIVE PURPOSES ONLY, NOT FOR FOOD SERVICE MADE IN MACAU This label suggests that this plate was made for the Western export market, probably in the 20th century.
