Listing an Adorable, Authentic Vinntage 'Big Eye' Puppy Dog Duo Figurine manufactured in Japan during the 1950-1960s.  This is a classic example of post-WWII Japanese export noveltty porcelain, beautifully capturing the whimsical, sentimental anthropomorphic aesthetic often referred to as mid-century 'Kitsch'. This figurine features oversized, expressive 'sad eyes' nd long hand-painted eyelashes.  The puppy on the left features soft airbrushed blue ears and a molded white flower collar accent, while the puppy on the right has airbrushed grey-black ears and a molded bright orange-red bow tie. Condition details: Excellent Vintage Condition.Structural State:  This item is found to be structurally sound.  There are no cracks, deep breaks, spiderweb crazing or professional repairs.  The delicate, tiny edges on the floppy ears, tails, and molded collar accents are fully intact.Surface & Glaze Finish:  High-gloss clear glaze is incredibly shiny, bright and clean.  There are a few tiny, standard factory kiln specks (minute black carbon dots traped under the glaze from the original 1950s/1960s firing process), which are completely normal for Japanese export porcelain of this era.Paint Finish:  The hand-painted 'Big Eye' eyelashes, red bow tie, and soft airbrushed blue and grey ear gradients are fully intact and showvirtually no paint rubbing or age-wear.Base Details:  The under side is clean, showing a hollow center hole and a crisp, perfectly legible stamped red 'JAPAN' mark on the raw porcelain base rim.
