View Vintage Mid Century Starburst Flower Brooch With Sapphire Blue Rhinestones with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. The brooch was manufactured during the 1950s to 1960s. It showcases a combination of deep sapphire blue and lighter aqua or cobalt blue glass. Overall condition of the brooch is excellent, EXCEPT, the pin bar is broken. This vintage 50's-60's multi-tiered starburst brooch is an excellent example of mid-century costume jewelry. Vintage mid century, large flower brooch/pin, in assorted blue rhinestones. The brooch was manufactured during the 1950s to 1960s. Its layered, multi-dimensional construction, thick prong settings, and heavy rhodium-plated silver-tone base are highly characteristic of mid-century fashion. Since it is unsigned or unmarked, it is categorized in the vintage market as an "unbranded" or "unsigned beauty", although its tiered design strongly mimics high-quality makers of that era like Weiss or Juliana. The stones are faceted glass crystal rhinestones. The outer bursting tiers feature elongated marquise cut (often called navette cut) stones, while the central cluster and outermost border consist of round brilliant cut accents.  It showcases a combination of deep sapphire blue and lighter aqua or cobalt blue glass. No brand mark. Overall condition of the brooch is excellent, EXCEPT, the pin bar is broken. If you do not want to take it to a jeweler to solder on a new pin back, you can easily rescue this beautiful piece.  You can convert it to a pendant, or use a jewelry bail or thread a necklace chain through the structural openwork on the back. Clip a vintage magnetic jewelry converter directly onto the rear framework so you can wear it on clothes without needing a pin.
