I purchased this with a tote of Antique/Vintage dresses.  I have had it for quite a while trying to figure out how to describe it.    It has been hand crocheted with a slight shimmery thread.  The lining also handmade (hand stitched) from muslin, working carefully for a good fit. From front to back it is approximately 8".  Up and down measures 7" including the double row of crochet lace.   Some damage to the crochet in the top and lower back.  Shown in last 2 pictures.  Minor spots of rust on the muslin. Some pictures seem to show discoloration in the cap.
