Vintage Majorica 28” Simulated Pearl Necklace – Original Presentation Box & Booklets Beautiful vintage Majorica simulated pearl necklace, approximately 28 inches long, dating to approximately the 1960s. This classic Majorica strand features graduated round cream/ivory-colored simulated pearls with a distinctive gold-tone floral/leaf clasp centered by a pearl. The clasp is marked MAJORICA® on the reverse. The necklace comes with its original Majorica presentation case and two original printed Majorica booklets, including The Romance of Majorica – The World’s Most Precious Simulated Pearl. These original accessories make this an especially attractive example for the Majorica collector. Majorica is renowned for its high-quality simulated pearls manufactured in Mallorca, Spain. These are simulated/man-made pearls and are not natural or cultured pearls. Measurements * Necklace length: approximately 28 inches * Pearl size: approximately 6–7 mm * Single strand * Gold-tone floral/leaf clasp Condition **Good vintage condition with visible age-related wear.** Please note that the necklace has noticeable surface wear to the simulated pearl coating on approximately 4 inches of the strand on each side of the clasp. There are areas of spotting, finish loss and discoloration in these sections, as shown in the photographs. The gold-tone clasp also shows wear to its finish consistent with age and use. The remainder of the strand displays considerably better, with attractive creamy pearl color and luster. The original presentation case and printed Majorica materials are included and show age/handling wear.
