It comes preserved inside its original, custom-made paulownia wood storage box (kiribako), cleanly matching the title and artist name on the outer lid. Deep Family History & Provenance This scroll is a cherished family heirloom with powerful history. The owner’s Japanese-American family survived the WWII internment camp system. Upon rebuilding their lives and homes in the post-war era, this scroll was acquired (circa mid-1950s to 1960s) to re-incorporate sacred cultural traditions and spiritual peace into the family household.
