Item Description Rare "Golden Age" Antique Christmas Postcard – c. 1910 This is an authentic, over 110-year-old  Real Photo Postcard (RPPC)  that has been professionally hand-tinted at the studio. Produced during the height of German lithography, it is marked  "Printed in Saxony"  on the left edge, denoting the superior quality associated with that region’s pre-WWI printing houses. Visual & Historical Highlights: The Scene:  A classic Edwardian-era family gathering around a traditional  tabletop Christmas tree . The mother wears a high-waisted pink gown, and the father is in a formal high-collar suit. Toy Interest:  This card is a "crossover" collectible due to the detailed  vintage toys  visible. Note the large, jointed  straw-stuffed teddy bear  seated with the young girl, as well as a horse-drawn carriage and a wooden pull-toy horse at the family's feet. Social History:  The reverse is hand-addressed in original vintage fountain pen ink to  Miss Hazel Parmenter  at  395 Ross St., Portland, Oregon . It is signed,  "From Cousin Emma & Bryan." Condition Report (GOOD): Front:  The hand-tinted colors remain soft and charming. There is some light surface soiling and minor "silvering" in the darker areas of the photo. Edges/Corners:  Shows expected corner softening and minor edge wear consistent with a century of handling. There are small age spots (foxing) visible in the lighter sky area. Reverse:  The card was never postally used (no stamp or cancellation), keeping the handwritten message and the "Saxony" mark clean and legible. Shows age-related tanning and light foxing.
