The bottom has a stamped mark that is difficult to read. Germany Paper Mache Mary Nativity Figure 4.75” Antique Hand Painted Creche Old paper mache nativity figure depicting Mary in a kneeling pose with beautifully hand-painted details and traditional red, blue, and green robes with gold accents. This figure came from a nativity set in which the cow is clearly marked “Made in Germany.” The impressed stamp on the bottom of this piece is very faint but appears to match the German mark found on the other figures in the set. Believed to be from the 1920's to 1930's.  A wonderful addition to a vintage German nativity, replacement set, or Christmas display. Works with a 6" scale set meaning the standing figures are 6" tall. Condition Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. There is typical paint wear, light crazing, and minor scuffs from age and use, but no major chips or cracks were found. The bottom has a stamped mark that is difficult to read.
