Luang Pho Ngern History Luang Pho Ngern, Phutthachot, was born on September 16, 2353 B.E. during the reign of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn, Rama V. He was a former abbot of Wat Bang Klaan, Phichit Province. He was highly renowned during his time, with people coming to him to bless their sacred water to ensure its continuity.  His disciples, who also gained significant reputations, included Luang Pho Phit from Wat Khamang, known for his expertise in talismanic arts, Luang Pho Noi from Wat Kongkaram, the creator of fish bladder and deer skin talismans, Luang Pho Hom from Wat Luang, Luang Pho Nun from Wat Had Mool Kra Bu, Luang Pho Fung from Wat Paknam, Luang Pho Kam from Wat Pho Teay, and Luang Pho Phee from Wat Tha Luang Phon. Luang Pho Ngern possessed extraordinary spiritual insight, often astonishing visitors with his abilities, and he was also skilled in traditional medicine, particularly in treating infectious diseases, offering relief to the villagers.  Despite attempts to harm him, such as shooting at him, the bullets would not leave the barrel, showcasing Luang Pho Ngern's extraordinary sanctity. His fame extended to the point where even the royal court recognized him, with His Majesty King Chulalongkorn sending a representative to ordain under him.  He attained enlightenment but suffered from dementia in his later years. He passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2462 B.E., at the age of 111, at Wat Wang Takok, Bang Klaan Subdistrict, Bang Klaan District, Phichit Province, leaving behind numerous miraculous stories. The amulets of Luang Pho Ngern from Wat Bang Klaan are legendary in the realm of sacred objects. Each generation of amulets is reputed to bring good experiences, protection from dangers, compassion, prosperity, and excellent trading. There are four main types: the popular mold amulet, the mold amulet with squinting eyes, the large mold coin amulet, and the small mold coin amulet. These amulets, aged around 100 years, are considered appropriately old.  According to tradition, the squinting eye and small mold coin amulets were created earlier by local craftsmen, while the popular mold and large mold coin amulets were commissioned later, but still within a relatively close timeframe. Professional craftsmen from Ban Chang Lo in Thonburi were hired to perform the gold-casting ceremony at the temple. Additionally, there have been stories narrated by Ajarn Tuk from Bang Pa-in in the program "Phra Khrueng Reung," which have been shared on YouTube through the Ayutthaya Group channel.  These stories delve into the depth of experiences regarding Luang Pho Ngern. Ajarn Tuk pointed out that the senior monk figures are often associated with Luang Pho Ngern due to their similar appearance to Phra Sangkajai, and there is a belief that if one prays for money from Luang Pho Ngern, they will receive it, even with a fake or imitation amulet, as it still provides protection.
