This beautiful used dessert set from Rosenthal is designed by renowned Danish artist Bjorn Wiinblad. This set was released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Rosenthal. It is very rare to find a set in any condition. This beautiful used dessert set from Rosenthal is designed by renowned Danish artist Bjorn Wiinblad. The design is "Scheherazade", inspired by the symphonic suite of the same name composed by Rimsky-Korsakov.  The set includes six small coffee cups (demitasse sized), six small dessert plates (diameter is approximately 15 cm or slightly under six inches), a small espresso or coffee pot with lid (18.5 cm tall with the lid, which is about 7.25 inches), a creamer, a sugar pot with lid, and a large charger or serving plate. The charger has a loop for hanging on the wall if you prefer to use it for display. The diameter of the charger is approximately 32.5 cm or about 12.8 inches. The condition of this set is good. There are some rub marks on some of the small plates, I believe from being stacked on one another without padding between. Due to the vibrant design, they are not noticeable. Upon inspection, you will see them as small areas of gray where the gold upper decor has worn off. Since the pattern has color variations of it's own, this is not very noticeable. The plates were used, but their centers are still white (not noticeably scratched or abraded) and shiny. There are no chips or cracks. This exquisite set is hand painted. There are small painted initials on the underside of some pieces, perhaps the various painters' marks? You can see this in the underside photos. Again, this is NOT a full dinner set and it has been used and cleaned. It is a dessert set only and includes only the items listed above. There are many photos, one shows all the items together and the rest of the photos show portions to give a closer up view. Please look at all the photos very carefully, as they are the best description of the set. Also, note that the pattern has a mixture of matte gold and shiny metallic decor that is hard to photograph, so please also watch the video. This set was released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Rosenthal. It is very rare to find a set in any condition. Shipping will involve double boxing to protect this rare set. Thus the large shipping box size. Also, please make sure you understand the sizes of the items (for instance by finding an similarly sized item in your home) to avoid any surprises. Due to the difficulties in shipping this set, I will not accept returns unless you can document a misrepresentation.
