It has a stunning pinchbeck mount with ornate metal work with carved and engraved rose and foliage pattern around the bezel. Brass back plate. Unmarked and unsigned. Closes with a trombone Clasp. The portrait is painted on wafer. I am not sure what wafer it is made of, as the brooch is sealed and I have not opened it.
