Clapsaddle . The charming illustration depicts a  winged Cupid offering a basket of red hearts  beneath a large umbrella from which  heart-shaped charms dangle , while a young girl dressed in a winter cloak and bonnet looks on. The imagery is rich with metaphor—hearts as love, the umbrella as protection, and Cupid as the messenger—creating a warm and hopeful Valentine scene. The card includes both decorative lettering and verse, including the sentiment: “A heart like this means endless bliss.” “To my Valentine.” This blend of gentle humor, symbolism, and emotion is unmistakably Clapsaddle and a major reason her Valentine cards remain so desirable today.
