Detailed Item Description This is a Retired Classic Rim 6 1/8 Inch Appetizer Plate (frequently referred to by collectors as the Bread & Butter plate) in the clean, timeless White glaze. This piece was manufactured by the Homer Laughlin China Co. in the USA . Based on the AAAA production stamp on the back, this specific plate was made during the 1st Quarter of 2012 .  The "AAAA" code is significant because 2012 was the first year Homer Laughlin moved to a 4-letter dating system. Fiesta White is a staple "core" color that was produced throughout the Post-86 era, but specific date-coded pieces are always a plus for collectors tracking production history. The plate features the iconic concentric rings and a 6 1/8-inch diameter, making it the perfect size for small bites, bread, or desserts. Condition Description This plate is in  never-used condition with no chips, cracks, or utensil scratches. It appears to have been a 2nd quality piece from the factory due to minor manufacturing variations: there are a few small glaze bumps and two tiny dark "pecks" (carbon spots) trapped under the glaze, as highlighted in the photos.
