Large format, measures approximately 35” x 24” (60 x 90 cm), published by the PLAKAT (“Poster”) Publishing House; printed on heavy-stock glossy coated paper at the Socialist Kharkov Printing Factory, Ukrainian SSR; circulation 25,000, very small by Soviet standards. In VERY GOOD CONDITION, showing just a few minor bumps to the edges and mild wrinkles to the upper right-hand corner. This is one of the last Soviet-era propaganda posters. The idea of it was probably born in answer to one of Gorbachev’s brilliant perestroika slogans: “Economy Must Be Economical!” An appropriate quotation of Lenin’s was found, laying down economy commandments in simple language, easy for a Russian laborer to comprehend.
