Authentic Gucci Jackie 1961 Hobo Bag Black Canvas/Leather Gucci originally introduced this hobo bag in 1961.   The bag became an instant fashion sensation after former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy was photographed using it to shield herself from paparazzi in the 1960s and 1970s. In tribute to her immense influence on its popularity, Gucci officially renamed the style The Jackie.  This specific bag is a Tom Ford for Gucci redesign of that bag made in the late 1990's. It has a pebbled leather trim on a canvas body, with a silver toned piston closure. Has the authentic Gucci fabric interior, Gucci leather tag, and the authentication number on the revers of the tag is 001 3306  3444.  It does not have the original dust bag.  The depth is approx 8", the width at the leather base is just under 1 1/2" and the height of the strap is approx 8". no cracks or peeling, but there are a few small wear spots at the very bottom. I cant get a good picture of them unfortunately, they are hard to spot, but they are there. There is no wear at all on the strap. Where the strap attaches to the bag there is a loose stitch on both the left and right front, and a loose stitch at the bag seam just near there. All very small, but they are there-see pic. The interior has no odors (nor does the exterior), and is in perfect like new condition.
