This birdhouse is handmade in the USA for bluebirds.It is made of weathered,unpainted red cedar that is 1 inch thick and naturally weather resistant for years of use.The cedar is lightly sanded and naturally weathered to a silver gray color.It features a 1-1/2 inch hole for bluebirds.A metal guard around the front entrance hole prevents it from being enlarged by predators.Climbing kerfs are cut inside under entrance hole so fledglings can climb out when ready.A white metal roof and vent holes keep the house cool.Water drain holes in bottom keep the nest dry.Drop down side panel opens for nest inspection and clean-out with a no tools needed, easy open latch.Protective screen around entrance is to discourage raccoons from reaching into nest,which can be removed with a screwdriver if not needed.House includes 2 clamps to quickly attach to a T-Post or pipe.House can also be mounted to a wood post by removing 2 clamps and using pre-drilled holes and included screws.Post is not included.
