This is an offer for a glass Compote from Fostoria. Origin and History: Manufacturer: Fostoria Glass Company, which operated out of West Virginia from 1891 until its factory closure in 1986. Production Era: The intricate "Navarre" floral etch (Etch #327) was first introduced in 1936 and remained in production until 1982, making it the company’s most popular etched pattern. The Blank Shape: Your piece utilizes the ornate Baroque blank (#2400), characterized by the delicate molded fleur-de-lis flourishes along the edge and the beautifully stylized, grooved pedestal stem. The Etched Center: Navarre features delicate flowers and a dangling bouquet right inside the curved scroll/horseshoe; Meadow Rose leaves the center space inside the scrolls completely blank.
