Beautiful vintage Russian Faberge-style solid decorative egg in rich translucent ruby red (cranberry) glass. Features intricate gold gilt decoration: a detailed bouquet of three roses with leaves and tied stems on one side; a crowned interlocking monogram (EG/CG style) flanked by roses and foliage on the reverse; and a gold lattice/diamond pattern with dots on the sides and upper portion. Gold bands accent the design. Original blue and gold paper label on the base with the double-headed Imperial eagle and Russian text reading “Made based on motifs of K. Faberge. St. Petersburg. Russia.” Approx. 3 inches tall. Solid decorative piece (does not open). Excellent condition with well-preserved gold gilt and no visible chips or cracks.
