The hand-painted decoration gives each plate its own subtle variations in the placement, color, and brushwork of the flowers and foliage. The green Haviland France backstamp dates these pieces to approximately 1894–1931, making them wonderful examples of early Haviland porcelain. No cracks or repairs observed. One plate has noticeably more wear/darkening to portions of the gold-gilt rim; the remaining plates retain their gilding well with age-appropriate wear. One plate has a small irregular area along the back edge that may initially resemble a chip; however, the area is glazed over, indicating that it occurred during manufacture rather than being later damage. A close-up photograph is included. As individually decorated antique porcelain, variations in the hand painting, small under-glaze marks or color irregularities, and other minor manufacturing characteristics may be present. These are part of the character of hand-decorated porcelain of this age rather than modern factory-perfect production.
