Stanley Bailey No. 3 Hand Plane Smoothing Plane Great Shape I believe this to be a type 16 with some replacement parts or a very late 16 with some type 17 wartime parts from the Stanley factory. I will let the next buyer decide.  Japanning is nearly perfect. It has painted hardwood handles (Typically found on type 17 wartime offerings.) The tote has a tight clean repair. The iron is full length and in excellent shape. Just needs to sharpened. This plane came from the collection of a deceased MWTCA member and is exactly as I found it. Except for knocking the dust off of it. Please examine the pics and feel free to ask questions.
