ANTIQUE DOLL PANTALETTES / DRAWERS — CIRCA 1900 Charming original antique doll undergarment, most likely a pair of pantalettes or drawers dating to approximately 1890–1910, with the style particularly appropriate to an early 20th-century French or German bisque/fashion doll wardrobe. Beautifully constructed from fine white cotton fabric, these miniature pantalettes feature multiple rows of delicate horizontal tucking near the lower legs and original lace edging at both cuffs. The small scale and careful construction are wonderful examples of the elaborate miniature wardrobes made for antique dolls. The garment has a center-back opening/closure, but the original closure is now missing. I have left the garment completely untouched rather than attempting a modern repair. This is an especially nice piece for a collector assembling an original doll trousseau or for display with an antique doll wardrobe. I have not attempted to repair, replace, or alter the original garment, making it an excellent candidate for an antique doll collector who values originality.
