THE PROCESS First, the posters undergo a thorough inspection to remove minimal tape or markings. They are then soaked and cleaned (washed) with an alkaline solution to remove acidity from the paper, followed by a gentle bleaching to brighten the paper, eliminate mold/stains, and bring back the colors to be vivid once again. The posters are mounted onto canvas (12oz.) with acid-free archival paper(Masa), wheat paste glue. Once dried, about a week, color restoration is applied using watercolor pencils, where needed.
