View Antique Japanese Porcelain Hizen Imari Covered Rice Bowl w Lid, Signed with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. Under close inspection, the interior porcelain reveals beautiful, genuine period characteristics including minor natural iron spots and pinprick oxidation trapped beneath the glassy glaze, proving its turn-of-the-century wood-fired kiln origin. Meiji period (1868-1912) hand painted porcelain stunning authentic Japanese Imari porcelain lidded bowl set.  This set is beautifully decorated in the classic KINRANDE (BROCADE) STYLE, featuring dense panels painted in a rich palette of underglaze cobalt blue, vibrant overglaze of burnt red enamel, and lavish hand-painted gold gilt highlights. The alternating panels depict traditional geometric cross-hatching and tightly packed chrysanthemum floral motifs.  True to its age and authentic handmade production, the base of the bowl features a stamped red square "HIZEN" origin mark. Under close inspection, the interior porcelain reveals beautiful, genuine period characteristics including minor natural iron spots and pinprick oxidation trapped beneath the glassy glaze, proving its turn-of-the-century wood-fired kiln origin. The unglazed foot rims are neatly cut and show appropriate age-related wear.  In traditional Japanese dining, the multi-functional lid can be inverted and used as a small side dish or saucer.
