Beautiful vintage Aynsley bone china teacup and saucer in the collectible Corset shape. The cup features a rich burgundy exterior, an ornate gold-trimmed handle, and a colorful floral interior filled with pink and yellow roses, yellow roses, green foliage, and smaller blossoms. The matching burgundy saucer has an ivory center and gold trim. Both pieces bear the green Aynsley Bone China England backstamp. The set likely dates to approximately the late 1930s or 1940s. INCLUDES: • One teacup • One matching saucer CONDITION: Very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks found. Several small kiln/firing inclusions and glaze irregularities are present, including raised specks on the saucer and a tiny dark inclusion inside the cup. These occurred during manufacture and are not chips. The burgundy enamel on the cup has a few teeny-tiny surface scratches. The handle angles slightly inward rather than sitting perfectly straight, apparently from manufacture. Minor age-related wear may be present on the gold trim.
