Adorable vintage Napcoware ceramic puppy dog planter/vase, model C-6702, imported from Japan. This sweet little pup features long floppy ears, closed eyes with dramatic painted eyelashes, rosy cheeks, and colorful pastel flowers decorating her head and front. The wonderfully whimsical design has all the charm of mid-century Japanese novelty ceramics. The underside retains the original Napcoware Import Japan foil label and is also marked C-6702. This is a hollow ceramic piece with an opening at the top/back, making it suitable as a small planter, vase, or simply a fun display piece. A great example of the whimsical mid-century Japanese ceramics that have become so collectible. Vintage pre-owned condition. There is a chip along the underside/base edge, shown clearly in the photos. Because of its location, it is not particularly noticeable when the piece is displayed upright.
