Stunning piece for jewelry or other valuable storage, and looks gorgeous displayed. A very beautiful piece.  Well made, very heavy, with so much detail. Two hinged doors reveal (4) drawers, (1) large drawer at the base with removable tray to either hide valuables or increase storage capacity. Elegant green jade carvings.  Beautiful engraved brass mountings throughout including on the feet, all attached with tiny brass nails ( not glue). Large engraved brass folding carrying handle on top over a large decorative piece with a Chinese Double Happiness – Wedding Joy & Love symbol (shuāng xǐ) -  happiness symbol: two 喜 characters together celebrate marriage and happy relationships. Two large rectangular jade oval carvings with flowers and leaves on the doors, two large oval carved jade panels on each side, two smaller oval jade carved pieces on bottom drawers. (4) drawers have lovely engraved brass pieces which lie flat when closed; one side of the hinged handle opens on the side to create a handle.  Each padded drawer lining is covered in red silk with Chinese symbols, flowers, potted plants, bird, and lantern. Removable tray in the large drawer is lined in pink and white Chinese flower design paper.  This stunning jewelry chest holds alot of pieces. Drawers contain sections for (20) rings, in addition to (6)open padded sections to accommodate bracelets, heavy necklaces, watches and more. Doors and bottom drawer have beveled wood. Two doors have two small lanterns or pots as the handles.  Very good condition to the wooden jewelry chest. Drawers in wonderfully condition -no holes, silk is bright and looks perfect.  Brass has verdigris and some oxidation mostly on the decorative and corner fittings. The "filigree" type fittings look good and all the small inner handles are in perfect condition.  Ships from non smoking home in 1-4 business days.
