This is an older USA-made Craftsman plane in the No. 4-size smoothing-plane class and appears consistent with Craftsman planes manufactured for Sears by Millers Falls during the mid-20th century. Wooden tote and front knob are intact. Vintage Craftsman bench plane in good, unrestored condition. Shows age-related surface rust, oxidation, scratches, dust and general shop wear. Wooden tote and front knob are intact. Adjustment mechanisms move, and the 2" cutter and Craftsman-marked chip breaker are present. Has not been restored or tested for woodworking performance. Please review photos carefully for condition. Description: Vintage Craftsman smoothing bench plane, approximately 10" long and 2-1/2" wide, with a 2" cutter. This is an older USA-made Craftsman plane in the No. 4-size smoothing-plane class and appears consistent with Craftsman planes manufactured for Sears by Millers Falls during the mid-20th century. Features include the Craftsman-marked lever cap and chip breaker, red-painted frog, hardwood rear tote and front knob, and smooth cast-iron sole. The plane is being sold as found and unrestored. It has surface oxidation, discoloration, scratches and normal wear from decades of shop use. A nice candidate for restoration, collection, or putting back into service.
