The interior leather strap is clearly stamped with the "RL" monogram and "Made in Italy". Vintage 1980s, Ralph Lauren Purple Label, antiqued cast brass buckle with shield, lion and RL mark on a wide, tooled leather Belt. This wide statement belt from Lauren's top-of-the-line label was crafted in Italy from premium, thick, smooth brown leather, designed to be worn high on the waist,  designed for cinching over heavy blazers, trench coats, or pairing with high-rise denim. The substantial, heavy solid brass shield-style buckle shows a beautifully detailed walking heraldic lion beneath an imperial crown. The face of the shield includes three stamped faux-hallmark cartouches, including the signature "RL" monogram, evoking classic British estate luxury. The interior leather strap is clearly stamped with the "RL" monogram and "Made in Italy". The buckle measures 2 7/8" wide and 2 3/16" high. The strap measures 1 7/8" to 2" wide and is 32" long. In excellent vintage condition with a beautiful, authentic antiqued patina on the brass hardware.
