Currently holding a lovely photo portrait of a seated distinguished looking woman with lace cuffs, a long multi strand string of pearls, lace cuffs, many pins on her left finger, looking oh so pensive. Beatuiful Hand Painted Picture Frame. Wall Hanging. Gold leaf with pale blue center. Circa 1920's.  Gorgeous patina.  Wonderful detail to the carving of the frame -lots of edges. A very nice frame.  Currently holding a lovely photo portrait of a seated distinguished looking woman with lace cuffs, a long multi strand string of pearls, lace cuffs, many pins on her left finger, looking oh so pensive. Signed on lower corner in red. Sepia tones. Original label on back from Grand Rapids, MI from either the framer or the photographer.  This frame looks Italian in origin to me with the colors and technique but not sure. Would be perfect in any room, waiting for a photo or framed print. I originally bought it for the beautiful frame but never had a picture for it.  It would not be suitable for a panting canvas as the depth isn't enough to accommodate it but it could hold a painting on thin wood.  Wire attached for hanging.
