Deeply embossed all over with cherubs, roses, palm fronds, and scrolling foliage, topped by a shell crest and finished with scroll feet and a rope-twist border. A vacant cartouche sits above the shaped aperture, ready for engraving. One of the larger and more heavily worked frames of this type, with unusually crisp detail.
