Hundreds of precisely arranged bubbles radiate outward from the center, gradually increasing in size toward the outer edges and creating remarkable depth when viewed from different angles. Beautiful vintage mid-century Murano blue and clear controlled-bubble art glass heart-form bowl / ashtray, attributed to Alfredo Barbini , Italy, circa 1950s–1960s. This substantial hand-formed art glass piece features vivid aqua blue glass encased in thick clear glass with an exceptional a bolle controlled-bubble pattern . Hundreds of precisely arranged bubbles radiate outward from the center, gradually increasing in size toward the outer edges and creating remarkable depth when viewed from different angles. The heavy biomorphic form has a deeply folded and pinched rim that creates a distinctive heart-like silhouette. Thick clear casing surrounds the blue glass, while the underside features a broad polished circular base. The combination of blue-and-clear cased glass, controlled a bolle decoration, heavy biomorphic construction and folded form is consistent with documented mid-century Alfredo Barbini Murano glass .
