For sale is a scarce piece of mid-century Americana - a vintage 1950’s “Seat of the Nation” hard plastic miniature toy toilet, manufactured by the Renwal Manufacturing Co. Originally part of Renwal’s highly popular dollhouse line, this specific piece was distributed as a regional travel souvenir from Fort Wayne, Indiana. It features a great retro graphic sticker on the tank front depicting an indigenous figure with a bow and arrow alongside a teepee. The tank lid has a graphic with the classic mid-century gag phrase “Seat if the Nation”. The toy features a pink plastic body molded with a small blue flush handle detail. The toilet lid is hinged to have not only the lid open up but the toilet seat ring. Condition: excellent. The plastic is a great pink color. No chips or cracks. The custom sticker is clean, colorful and fully legible. The hinges operate smoothly. There is some yellowing to the seam glue. Well preserved display piece!
