Offered is a charming  antique Valentine’s Day postcard , postmarked  February 14, 1911 , dating squarely to the  Golden Age of Postcards (circa 1905–1915)  when Valentines were richly illustrated, sentimental, and often exchanged among family members as well as sweethearts. The front features an endearing  young child  holding a note with a bright  red heart , framed within a bold  red heart-shaped border  set against a textured gold-toned background. Surrounding the heart are delicate  forget-me-not flowers , a flower long associated with  faithfulness, remembrance, and enduring affection —a perfect symbol for a Valentine card. Printed verse reads: “I’m waiting for a loving sign, from you, my own, dear Valentine.” Below, the greeting  “To My Valentine”  appears in decorative, multicolored lettering.
