Exceptional unsigned vintage rhinestone flower brooch with unusual dimensional construction. This piece is completely covered in rhinestones in two warm amber/golden tones, with the stones intentionally set inverted/point-up throughout. The individual flower heads are heavily dimensional and are assembled around a central radial wire structure. The back features distinctive perforated/domed flower settings, wired construction, a long pin stem with no pin stops, rollover clasp, curved stem and a single detailed metal leaf. This brooch has been extensively researched and reviewed by knowledgeable collectors familiar with high-end vintage costume jewelry. Its inverted stones, unusual flower-head construction, radial wiring and hardware have been compared with documented period designer pieces, including Schreiner jewelry. It remains unsigned, however, and I am selling it as an unidentified vintage designer-quality piece rather than making a definitive maker attribution. The construction is really the star of this piece. Even the back is fascinating and shows the amount of work that went into assembling it.
