Beautiful Vintage Navajo Yei-Style Pictorial Handwoven Wool Textile – Five Figures Offered for sale is a striking vintage Southwestern pictorial weaving measuring approximately 34.5 inches wide × 26.5 inches tall. The textile features five stylized Yei/Yei Be Chei figures arranged across a charcoal gray field. The figures are surrounded by elongated feather-like motifs and colorful vertical geometric elements in red, blue, cream, black and gray. A bold black border with repeating cream-colored sawtooth/zigzag designs surrounds the pictorial field, giving the weaving a particularly distinctive Southwestern appearance. The textile has a substantial woven construction, with the design incorporated into the weave. The design is visible from both the front and reverse, consistent with a woven textile rather than a printed design. The original twisted hanging cords are present at the corners.
