This spectacular Santa was available only at special Old World Christmas Events held at authorized Old World Christmas retailers during the 1998 Holiday Season. It is a limited edition piece: produced specifically for 1998. Only 18,000 of these sweet collectibles were created. This jovial Santa is ready to brighten any holiday festivity. His long red coat, trimmed with sparkling gold glitter, frames the many luscious fruits cascading from his overladen bowl. The intricate detail and original design of this ornament made “Bountiful Santa” the collector’s choice of 1998! Made in Germany for Old World Christmas by the skilled artisans of Inge-Glas, this festive collectible made of glass was carefully mouth blown, one at a time, into a finely crafted porcelain mold. After the inside was coated with a wash of silver for reflection, it was then hand-painted with brightly colored lacquers and trimmed with glitter. After the ornament stem was snipped, the trademark Star Cap was attached…an heirloom born! It took approximately seven days to create each one of these magical ornaments. Long retired, Special Event Piece #1569, “Bountiful Santa" measures 5 1/2”. Molded into the back of the ornament is the commemorative year; 1998. “New”, from  The Holiday Shop of Saratoga Springs  old store stock, this hard to find collectible is in mint condition.  It comes with an OWC ornament care card.
