The 10mm round center stone is a zero matrix, pure sky blue Turquoise of a highly polished Sleeping Beauty cabochon. It is flanked by two oval (8mm x 5mm) faceted rich in color London Blue Topaz gemstones - the blue stones truly complement each other.  Note the flash of the deep blue Topaz side stones in our video. The Rhodium plating over a sterling silver metal base is brilliantly used in this structured design. Rhodium is known as a noble metal belonging to the Platinum group of metals and is also known for its exceptional corrosion resistance and highly reflective properties. This makes the finish less likely to tarnish. Sleeping Beauty Turquoise is known for its bright blue color. Matrix-free stones are considered prized for just that reason - highly desirable for pure color represented by deep, saturated sky-blue Turquoise. The Sleeping Beauty Mine, located in Globe, Arizona closed about 2012 because the Turquoise rock supply was drying up; copper became more profitable. The material is one of the most recognizable types of Turquoise in the world and synonymous with the word Turquoise. At the time of purchase, the manufacturer stated the ring measured 3/8" L x 13/16" W x 7/16" H. All three stones are held in place by Rhodium plated prongs. The baskets that hold each stone in place are simple, substantial and highly polished. It was purchased 11 years ago (2015) and has been stored in a  smoke free environment with the purchaser's other collectibles.  This is a very wearable ring, however, care should be taken so the Sleeping Beauty stone isn’t scratched or damaged by exposure to harder surfaces. Turquoise ranks a 5 - 6 on the Mohs scale of hardness, which means it is relatively soft and can be prone to being scratched or otherwise damaged (Diamonds are a 10 on Mohs). We're unable to determine or confirm if this Turquoise stone has been stabilized; we're guessing most likely. Stabilizing Turquoise enhances it durability and locks in color which makes the stones suitable for use in jewelry. This accounts for aprox 90% of the Turquoise jewelry market.  Proper care is important: store separately to prevent the gemstones from being scratched or otherwise damaged by harder materials. Do not use harsh cleaners, rather, gently wipe with a clean, soft cloth after wearing to remove oils and cosmetics. Do not expose (particularly the Turquoise) to extreme temperatures, lotions, soaps or chemicals of any kind. Do not use ultrasonic cleaning equipment.
