On the front of the postcard is a sepia-toned photograph of a large, two-story shingle-style house. The house features a prominent gambrel-like roof with several dormer windows equipped with dark shutters. A wide porch with a decorative lattice railing wraps around the ground floor, partially obscured by dense shrubbery and vines. The property is bordered by a long, neatly trimmed hedge in the foreground. Several tall, leafy trees are scattered around the yard, including a large one on the right and two thinner ones toward the center and left. In front of the hedge, a dirt road or path is visible, lined with a row of light-colored stones. There is no text on the front of the postcard. On the back of the postcard, the words POST CARD are printed in a large, hollow serif font across the top center. Below this, a vertical line divides the card into two sections. The left section is labeled CORRESPONDENCE HERE and the right section is labeled NAME AND ADDRESS HERE. In the upper right corner, there is a green one-cent U.S. Postage stamp featuring Benjamin Franklin, cancelled by a circular postmark from July 18, 1911.
