Provenance & History : This lovely piece comes directly from my parents' private collection carefully curated during their tour of duty in Stuttgart, Germany.  Hundreds of wonderful hours were spent cruising antique markets and bazaars acquiring treasures that have remained in their collection for decades. Because it has remained in a single family, it has avoided the typical wear-and-tear of frequent transport, which is why the delicate porcelain is in such remarkable condition. The scene depicts two charming cherubs (putti) flanking a garden cart overflowing with roses and narcissus. The muted palette and matte finish highlight the expert molding, creating a piece that is both sophisticated and timeless.  Condition & heritage Note: This item is crafted from fine, vintage porcelain and carries the elegant history of its era. We pride ourselves on a "no surprises" approach to our collection.    Note on Condition :  White this piece displays beautifully, we have identified a previous repair to one yellow flower petal tip ( upper left cluster ). While stable, the repair remains visible upon close inspection. The price has been adjusted accordingly. Unlike standard molded porcelain, the roses feature the signature Arte Gaia hand-tooled deckled edges . This uniform "roughness" is a deliberate artisan technique where petals are thinned by hand prior to firing and is not damage.
