Thick, solid cobalt blue horizontal and vertical lines divide the exterior surface into distinct rectangular windows. Each individual panel contains a detailed illustration of a traditional Dutch landscape. The primary focus of each miniature scene is a historic windmill, captured from slightly varying angles and orientations. The landscapes feature soft horizon lines, surrounding greenery, and hints of clouds or sky. To enhance the historic look, the four interior corners of every individual rectangular frame are decorated with matching, intricate baroque-style scrollwork flourishes. The handle is broad, thick, and angular, attaching securely to the upper and lower sections of the mug. It features small, stylized blue dash accents running along its outer spine. When viewed from above, the opening forms a distinct heart shape.The figurines attached to front of the vase is a molded figurine of a boy and girl wearing traditional Dutch attire. The boy wears a classic cap and wide trousers, leaning over to kiss the girl, who wears a pointed Dutch lace bonnet and a flared skirt. The item is crafted from a creamy, off-white glazed ceramic, decorated exclusively with varying shades of cobalt blue. It functions primarily as a decorative accent or a bud vase, designed to hold a single stem or a small, delicate floral arrangement.
