The interior is finished in a smooth, contrasting solid turquoise glaze, while the base features the historical red stamped "CHINA" export mark. #5 Up for your consideration is a stunning antique Chinese porcelain bowl dating from the Late Qing Dynasty to the Early Republic Period (circa 1891–1921). This hand-decorated piece stands out with its larger size and beautiful faceted, multi-sided lobed shape. The vibrant exterior features the highly sought-after "Gongji Wan" (Prosperity Rooster) pattern, intricately combined with fluttering butterflies and blooming pink peonies against a hand-painted green wash ground. The interior is finished in a smooth, contrasting solid turquoise glaze, while the base features the historical red stamped "CHINA" export mark. Dimensions: Approximately 6 5/8" Diameter x 2" High. Condition: In good antique condition with age-appropriate surface wear. The hand-painted enamels are wonderfully colorful and intact. Please note there are normal manufacturing rough spots, minor glaze nicks, and tiny antique flea bites along the delicate scalloped edge, all very typical of provincial folk pottery from this era. No major structural cracks, large modern chips, or repairs. A fantastic, Statement piece that perfectly showcases classic Chinese folk symbolism.
