Dish has three parts each featuring a wonderful hand painted scene depicting a different robed Japanese Immortal with landscape background. Colors are great and feature significant gilding. All three sections have great MORIAGE detailing. This is a great vintage Japanese Satsuma MORIAGE divided serving dish with brass handle. Dish has three parts each featuring a wonderful hand painted scene depicting a different robed Japanese Immortal with landscape background. Colors are great and feature significant gilding. All three sections have great MORIAGE detailing. Dish measures approximately 10” across with each section approximately 5” x5”. Height including handle approximately 4” tall. Dish is marked on back with red wreath surrounded by “Hand painted Japan”. Dish probably dates from 1950’s or 60’s, possibly earlier. Dish is in excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks or any damage. Colors are vibrant. Gilding is very nice. All applied MORIAGE decoration is intact. The white underside glaze does show light crazing. Would make a great addition to any collection. Handle unscrews and will be removed to facilitate shipping. Shipping is $10.90 for USPS Ground Advantage Mail.
