Could be used as a Jewelry / Vanity / Trinket box. It has lock mechanism but no key,  Top is wider than base ( that is how its designed) . Top is curved. 3 5/8 inches depth at curve on top . 2 3/4 inches depth at base .  5 9/16 inches widest by  by 3 3/8 inches tallest . Images are extremely poor and show the wear and finish to be much worse than it is. It's fair to say lighting is not good. It has some wear and scuffs at points shown but not even noticeable when you look at it in person. Could be a miniature dollhouse trunk. Replacement key should be easily available through a locksmith / key-smith. I usually post many more images on my listing than the 12 listed on eBay gallery which only will be visible to individuals on classic eBay site ( that would be when item is viewed on a computer) .
