Up for sale is an antique Art Nouveau locket. The chain is 1/20th 12k gold filled, but is not original to the locket. The locket has a beautiful repousse woman design and there are 4 paste stones in flowers. Up for sale is an antique Art Nouveau locket.  The locket is not marked, but it has some gold content- to me it looks thickly plated GF, just not sure what content.   The chain is 1/20th 12k gold filled, but is not original to the locket.  The locket has a beautiful repousse woman design and there are 4 paste stones in flowers.  The back is plain and smooth.  There is a notch by the bail to open the locket.  I had to use my nail, but a toothpick could also work because the notch is very small.  There are no marks inside, but there is a piece of skin.....leathered skin!  I cannot say what it is from.  It could just be a lining possibly, or I guess some kind of keepsake.  The locket measures 30mm in diameter, is about 7.5mm in thickness in the center and the chain is 14" long.  The total weight with the chain is 16g.  It looks really pretty on and is in nice condition for the age!   Please feel free to contact me with any questions and   Please look at all photos carefully and use the zoom options to inspect the clothing.
