It is the tallest statue in  Ukraine  . It is located on the grounds of  the Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II  . It was opened as part of the museum complex in 1981 on  Victory Day  . The complex was opened by  General Secretary  of the CPSU Central Committee  Leonid Brezhnev  .
