Vintage sterling silver Harry Mason earrings, the jewelry designer based in SF - this is his original work, some of his earliest, bought in the early 80's while he was still displaying at local street fairs before he opened up his store at Pier 39 and became famous. The earrings show off the iconic spiral design for which he became recognized (it's copyrighted & patented now). They thread through the front of the ear and you take them off by spiraling the wire forward from the back of the ear (it takes a little dexterity until you're used to it, then it's easy). The circle is meant for the right ear. They are engraved (c) HM and sterling. This pair is asymmetrical in shape, size, and finish. There's so much detail to them it's hard to capture. They're still in great condition because I kept them as my "special occasion only" earrings. Do they get noticed! But I no longer wear drop earrings so someone else should get the comments. I see only one scratch (on the top circle on the circle side, although it's not nearly as prominent as when I tried to capture it in photos). They also need to be polished better than my little cloth could do. 2 inches long. Note they don't say 925, so I'm not certain of percentage. It might be because they're old enough that stamping it wasn't required back then. Anyway his quality is so high and they definitely were expensive so I'd be surprised if they weren't.
