Hello and thank you for viewing our listing We are pleased to offer you this gorgeous vintage 1970’s 14K gold, black onyx & pearl necklace, 19.5” in length, weighing 23.57 grams, handmade by the studio artisans at World Wide Imports. This classic piece of fine jewelry features a timeless and elegant design of fine round 6.3 mm round black onyx beads, fine pearls, and 14K solid yellow gold beads, findings and accents. The gold findings and components are all marked 14 K and the one piece hand inscribed WW for the very earliest World Wide imports pieces. We took this to our jeweler and had the pieces examined and tested. The lobster clasp is gold plated but the rest of the components are solid gold. The jump ring that holds the lobster claw clasp used to be the original spring ring clasp for this piece of jewelry. it may have lost its integrity at some point so a jeweler modified the clasp, turning it into a thick sturdy ring to hold the new replacement, lobster claw clasp, which is much more durable. "World Wide Imports" primarily refers to a wholesale and retail importer established in the late 1970s.
