Authentic sterling silver artisan made Peruvian combination pin & pendant. Bezel set in the center of the pendant is an oval shape cabochon cut Peruvian turquoise. Located on the turquoise is an eighteen-karat yellow gold Tumi. Authentic sterling silver artisan made Peruvian combination pin & pendant. The classic octagonal shape pin/pendant has an average diameter of one and three-quarter inch. Bezel set in the center of the pendant is an oval shape cabochon cut Peruvian turquoise. The turquoise averages close to three-quarter inch in length by one-half inch in width and has a very pretty dark green color. Located on the turquoise is an eighteen-karat yellow gold Tumi. The contrast in color between the gold ceremonial tool and turquoise is very striking. Each of the eight panels framing the turquoise have cut out Incan tribal and daily life scenes. The lowest panel is not quite as well detailed but shows evidence of the casting process. The back of the pin has a hinged or retractable bail that is stamped "925", denoting sterling silver. Stamped on the back of the filigree style pin is "18K", for the gold content of the Tumi. The pin stem and catch are snug and tight fitting. This pin/pendant has been lightly cleaned but not polished. Shows some age-appropriate wear but overall, nice estate condition. Weighs a very solid but comfortable 18.6 grams. This fun and versatile Incan pin and pendant would make a wonderful gift or self-purchase. Looks great when worn and will soon become a go to favorite.
